What transmission was in a 1973 Comet?

Post by junkyard junky on July 23rd 2015, 3:06 am

Looking at maybe getting an engine and trans for my 41 ford. Car is a 302 with automatic trans. I'm guessing a C4 is what came out in it. Anyone know for sure?

Being a V8 I'd think it should be a C-4. They had a small block C-6 but it was in the trucks and behind the Clevelands. I think the C-3 was in the Pintos and the C-5's didn't come out until later. Some were pan filled and some were case filled.
