Truck looks great! I will be glad to get the Newport house sold and a small shed put up. Have some hill digging and leveling before a garage can go up at our new place. Love our view too. Although it's getting harder to see the river with the leaves coming in full now.

Keep up the good work!! Arm feeling any better?

Arm is getting better. I can use it. Just feel it when I try to straighten it all the way out.

Filled in the dipped in yard, graveled it and made a couple more parking spaces. Amy thought I was doing yard work Smile

John Howard dropped off his Stude for some work. He was making sure he wasn't going to let me tell him the car wouldn't come off the trailer with that pitch.

1963 Stude needs a 1963 Corvette 327, Power Pack Heads, flat top pistons, mild cam and an aluminum intake wouldn't ya think? I think so. That lettering on the oil canister should be good for a few tenths in the 1/4 I think. Smile

Issues off the bat. That huge overdrive trans was never meant to be in this car. Factory cross member to the trans had to go. Oil pan was hitting the suspension and a few other things had us working away trying to get it shoe horned in the bay. The engine bay is so short it was fun trying to get the right angle to get it in.

She's in! New frame mounts are bolted in and a new cross member that we fabbed up holds up the other end.

Cherokee was not impressed.

Tossed on a set of valve covers and an intake for mock up to just see what it would look like.

We cleaned up the bores on the motor. Each part was painted black then all the mating surfaces and bolts were cleaned leaving the natural metal finish. New head gaskets and pan gasket went on. Once the engine was together I clear coated the bare metal so it wouldn't rust. Just something to give it a little cleaner look.

Posted this old Chevy truck at the bottom of the hill so people would catch the address. For some reason everyone seems like this place is hard to find. My plans were to get it all mocked up and have flowers and stuff planted around it. I got so busy I couldn't get to it this year but next spring she will get finished.

I have stuff built strange from where dad through the years built stuff where ever and however he wanted. Having cut into the hillside stuff is a little strange looking now that most of the top is flat. I want to tie everything in together but wasn't sure how. All these small places and building methods are not what a person would want. Working with what I had I figured best way is to make a small little Hilltop Hot Rod 50's style town. It will take me some years to do what I want but one thing a person has if he's lucky is time. First comes a diner.

The little garage had a lean too against it. Block wall had to go to open them up together to make more room.

About halfway through the wall and half way down I found dad's hammer. He must have dropped this in the wall when he built it over 30 years ago. It will get hung up as a keeps sake.
