Gracies new ride!

Post by Chris55 on January 19th 2015, 4:34 am

Well it's official my youngest daughter got her permit. affraid So of course she needed a ride. Yes I know it's kinda new, but it's the perfect truck for a 15 year old girl to learn to drive in. It's got a 2.2 4 cylinder and an automatic, at least I wont have to worry about speed. Very Happy  It needs a little clean up and some work here and there, but what better way to teach her about fixing cars.
Sorry about the photo, it's from the Craigs list add, hey it's dark when I leave for work and dark when I get home. lol!

Yep and yep. Even though this is the 5th one I've gone through this with, it doesn't get any easier. The worst is the first night they go driving alone.

Sami made it within a couple of days before making it one full year before the posi walked passed the front end and sent her around into a car on the other side of the highway. She got lucky. I think all of them get too confident in their driving and relax. I'm just glad it wasn't bad when she did it.

No way!!!!! Glad she's ok brother. I got that same call when my oldest boy got put into a guardrail sideways by a lady in a lifted F250. (he was in a lowered Sunfire) I don't think I've ever moved so fast in my life.

That the way it was here. I beat the cops to the wreck driving a lifted orange 4x4. Had it sitting blocking traffic before the even showed up. Scary stuff.

Nice little truck. Our son has been driving about a year, still worry even though he is a decent driver. He got in trouble just this morning for reckless driving in the school lot. Saturday half day of school and whatever he gets when he gets home. Someone ransacked the Bronco last night in our drive and stole $3, I think he knows who did it and was mad.
We put him in an old Ford, if it gets tore up, nothing lost.....Sorry Lee haha

Spent some time at the u pull yard yesterday, scored two good tail lights, wind shield washer squirters, and some headlight clips. Not a lot, but got it all for $16. Today fixed the heat (never thought I'd need that here)replaced the tail lights, reattached and aimed the headlights, replaced some vacuum lines, and reconnected the wind shield washer. yeah I know it's not much, but gotta make it good for my kiddo.

The jap crap someone put on this poor little girl, both side were melted. Rolling Eyes

Had to cut the bulbs and sockets out.

This ones melted inside and out.

Much better Very Happy

Man the reflection on the tailgate looks like primer to my old eyes it this shot^^^^^ lol!

Wow, the Bronco got vandalized, Marty? Don't tell my mom...she would be upset. I hope they did not tear it up.

That's a great little truck for your daughter, Chris! Nice score. That's a classic for the modern-day as far as trucks go. Nice styling, LOTS of parts and easy to shoehorn a SBC into one too.

Later,

Lee
