You ever wonder what's down there and how did some of it get there?

Those are cool!
We have a small water way near out house that feeds off the Great Miami in Hamilton, it was built before WWII to feed a hydro plant. When I was younger, they had to drain it to clean out the hydro screens, do repairs, etc. To everyones surprise, they found a couple old cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and even a large old safe. Guess since it was kind of country only 2 miles out of town and in a sharp curve, easy to dump stuff stolen there.

I watched that Moonshiners show once too where Tim heard the legend of an old moon shiner running his car into a lake back inteh 50's so they couldn't catch him with shine. He ended up finding the car in the lake with a trunk full of shine. Oh the wonder of reality TV  lol!

I have heard many stories about the town under water. I'd love to see some pictures. I have spent a lot of time on and in the water down there. We had a get away home in Burnside, Ky. They say that the water is about 200 ft deep in spots I have talked to some of the old timers down there and they say when the water is up there are spot that are over 300 feet deep. They also have some caves and water ways that flood it when it rains. When I first seen the place in Burnside it had just rained. It had a cave that was cut through when they opened up the mountain about 40 feet up. It made for a nice waterfall for about a week after every rain. I miss it down there. I would have moved down there for good but back then there was no place to work. It's grown up a lot since then.
