Are scrap prices higher in the spring then now

Post by junkyardjeff on November 15th 2013, 3:29 am

I had to retire my 95 F150 due to frame rust and can get 260 a ton for it complete but want to keep the motor and a few other parts so I might keep it until spring then yank all the parts I want to keep,I am going to call back and see how much after I remove the parts I want to keep so are the scrap prices higher in the spring and summer months or can it go up and down no matter what time of the year.

It doesn't matter around here. Its $200 a ton in Glasgow and probably a little higher in Bowling Green but thats a longer distance to drive.
