I know some car insurance companies won't insure a car with a salvage title. So you might not be able to put it on the same insurance plan you have everything else. If your company won't you will have to go with a different company for just that truck. Might want to check with your company first. If you have to go with a different one it could be a little more costly a month than another car added to your current plan because you aren't going to get any multi-car discount etc...

I bought one here in TN and the insurance didn't care. Nobody cared. Only thing I know of, it hurts the value.

Did they have the truck inspected after it was repaired?
Some states want the vehicle inspected after a repair.

Yea. I forgot about that. They actually issue a new sticker that replaces the factory VIN.

Ohio inspects it, the repairs, and stamps it ok to tag and Rebuilt Salvage is right on the title for ever, and ever....not sure what KY has cooking....Kills resale value....but for a S10 driver...what value.....lol

Per John's description, Kentucky's process is very similar to Ohio's process. Roller Coaster actually has a rebuilt title. Aaron, if you want exact details you need to contact the Department of Transportation in Frankfort. It is an easy process, if you have all the proper documentation.
