I'm gonna make a store run myself this morning, but no ice cream. Lol. I wouldn't get any, they would attack me at the door before I even got through it.

Furnace is working good. If it goes out or we loose power I can always close some rooms off and toss some logs in the fireplace. Weather man never knows what is going to happen but if it does come a hard rain and we get down below 0 we are going to loose some electric in some areas. Tree limbs covered in ice are window makers for power lines.

The power line running up my hill was covered by brush and trees. I called Duke. It took over 2 months before they got a crew here. I had already cut about 50 foot of it myself to keep the limbs off the lines. They don't like you doing this but like I told the guys that showed up. I called, you never showed up. If I dropped a line and blew the transformer out you would have had to show up to fix it and cut the trees. My whole family has been into line work for Duke and before that with CG&E I know what I'm doing but they didn't know that. Either way by the time they got done all the limbs and brush was cut away from over the lines. I've seen enough storm damage I knew I didn't want to go through winter with a chance of loosing power. Not to say it won't happen on down the road but it won't happen on my part.

My brother and 2 of my nephews.

If we only have to deal with the cold for a few days that may be okay. I know I couldn't handle the northern states.. Too much snow, ice, cold temps.
