The old Smoke City Wheelers Club Bus, A London Routemaster, Top deck was chopped severely, while the bottom windows had the openings lowered, so it looked chopped, but still had full headroom downstairs,

That's an absurdly awesome pic of XH558 at Goodwood. Did you snap that? As for the 'Mossie' I too like her as well. But I admit that when it comes to British aircraft I like the Spitfire (preferably the Mk.Vc, early Mk.IX and Mk.22/24) along with the Lancaster and BP Defiant for WWII. Post-war would be the Gannet, Wyvern and Buccaneer.

Hawker Sea Fury, has to be in my top 5, later had contra rotating props, I think the largest capacity single aircraft engine, I seem to remember, 54 liters which is just shy of 3300 cui. and right on the pinnacle of prop driven aircraft, I think they are still used in air races even today.

The English Electric Lightening, genuine Mach 2 Fighter, 2 RR Avon Turbojets and after burners, with a pilot squatting on top.    fastest rate of climb from 1955  until the F15 came along,
