77 Ford F100 Build Thread

Post by relaxednoma on June 11th 2012, 5:00 pm

Slowly, creating...threads lol

This is the wife's truck. It's a 77 F100, it was her great gramps truck. Her Dad and him swapped in a nice 351w and c4. It's grandpa-ized and such. Plans are fix the bed, from the cab forward is mint, detail frame, clean everything up, repaint same color and I'll spend forever getting it to shine pefect for her. Restore all the odds N ends on the truck (yes even the swan to). basically put it very close to the way gramps had it.

Now, she's told me to put my "twist" on it. sooo......I have an Edelbrock intake manifold for it and a carb (pictured below for fun). Since I'm limited to basically the mechanicals of the truck.

Suspension:
- She wants a lower ride height, no air,
Front: Lowered 4 inches w/lowering shocks
Rear: Lowered 5 inches w/lowering shocks

Rolling stock: Intro Holbrook
Front : 18x8 on 235/45/18
Rear: 18x10 on 265/40/18

Brakes: Undetermined until I can research more, but large discs are the goal. Cobra something?

Engine: 351w
rebuild, cam it, longtubes, looking forward to building the exhaust. I'll be tigging it in stainless. Ball milled billet valve covers, air cleaner etc.
