What kind of snake is this?

Post by Reb Stew on May 17th 2012, 2:10 am

My 70 year old mother found this in her house going under her bed. She held it down with a shoe in her hand while yelling for my brother. The tail rapped around her arm before Mike was able to get to it. It freaked her out. It was a small snake so it couldn't wrap her up very good. They killed it and pitch it over the hill before I could see it in person.
I have never seen a snake like this on the property. What is it? Anyone know? Looks a little like a Rat Snake or a Copperhead but I'm not sure.
