Like I don't have enough to worry about

Post by RebStew on October 18th 2011, 2:29 pm

This has been the craziest few months I've had in my life. Amy was late getting in from work this morning and come to find out some goofball slammed into her. She was driving her little Yaris down the road and a guy she works with hit the back end of the car so hard that it knocked the glove boxes open, all the stuff flew out into the floor. The wipers were on and running where the impact pulled the lever down. Both sunvisors popped out of their brackets and swung back. All the change and stuff in the console went flying. It even knocked the lens out of her perscription eye glasses. She was driving and didn't have her foot on the brake. He speeding and nailed her. He told the cop that he was sneezing and didn't see her. The guys car was totled and had to be towed away. The Yaris is drivable and doesn't look too bad at all. You can tell it's hit but the real damage in under it. It pushed the bottom of the trunk pan and the metal behind the rubber bumper up into the car. Like it folded the car up under itself. I have full coverage on the car so I'm not too worried about the car. The problem is I'm sick of these retards around here. No one seems to know how to drive anymore. I bet you he was texting. How hard would you have to sneeze to loose site of the road even if you are doing 60 + MPH. I'd like to get my hands on this guy. The cop tried to get her to go to the hospital 3 times and she refused. By the time she got home she was already getting sore. She's sleeping now. If she's not feeling well when she gets up I'm going to take her on up to the hospital.

I'm sorry to hear a loved one of yours was the victim of the collateral damage wrought by the stupid stick. We'll keep you all in our prayers.

I hope Amy is OK. Not to come on too strong here but she needs to go to the hospital. I understand her reluctance to do so but still she took quite a blow and that bounces everything around inside you. Your kidneys, liver, spleen, etc. are all very easily injured in a situation like this. Get her checked out....

Hope she is OK. They have made cars to the point that you don't really have to even drive them anymore, so people have forgotten how. All cars should be manual trans., steering, and brakes so people have to pay attention to drive.

Thanks everyone! I'm fine my sides hurt a little but I feel great. My blueberrry is hurt more than me. It was strange to see everything in the daylight. I leave work at 5:30 am so it's dark out. I was hit hard enough that the passenger side floor mat flipped and the dirt was in the passenger seat. The change that was in the driver side glove box was in the passenger seat, both floor boards, my lap and the back seat. My glasses that I was wearing was in between the front seats. I was a lot shaken up but after getting it back toghether I was okay. Yes I was hurting this morning but much better now! Again thanks everyone for you kindness. When I go to work tonight if I feel bad or in pain I'll leave and go to the hospital.

I didn't know how much Amy liked this little blue car untill it got hit. We have been beating around in a VW Bug since Friday and I like it. Amy however wants her car back. lol.. I went up today to take a look. They put it on a rack and pulled everything back out. The work they did so far looks really good.
