Just don't take off more than you need.. go slow, water JAcket is where the coolant flows thru the intake thru the head, to the block.. If you know a machinist get you some DYKEM thru bolt your intake gasket to the head after spraying DYKEM (machinist lay-out fluid) scrib your desired outline , remove gasket and grind away, check your work often, remember its easier to remove material than it is to add material..You can do this on the manifold aswell . If you don't have any DYKEM color the area in with a sharpie then scrib your line with the gasket in place, Or do it how ever the two STEVE's say to do it, that way you won't come to me if you screw it up doing it my way... I am by no means a professional, and assume no liability on your screw-ups this is all just a fictional story on how a fictional someone has done it in the fictional past.. Good Luck and God Speed!

That is very true, but if kenny wants to do anything to the heads he needs to have some one do it for him. He has come to far to screw it up now, not talking bad kenny but you know what i mean. We have talked ENDLESS HOURS about this being a chance for you to have your car close to were it needs to be, you cant afford to lose that chance due to a bad mistake. END THE MADNESS and just drop it haha (or pay someone to do the work).
I think there are a few others that agree. LIKE YOU SAID KENNY its not a race car! Suspect

REASERCH RESEARCH RESEARCH! Google is your friend use for something more than to see if Nikki Sixx is still banging that broad with all those TATOO's, or if Rick Flair and Randy Savage are gonna have a battle rumble at Fantasy Farm this year...The machine in front of you is one of the best tool's you can have in your arsenal, if you USE IT!..It took less than a minute to find an article for you on this.. Or just pay to have it done, or as Riggs said just drop it in and blow it up then repeat.Good lUck

Re: Kenny's Flashback 79 Camaro

Post by RebStew on March 31st 2009, 5:23 am

When he is ready to do it I will watch him. He is going to gasket match the stuff himself. I'll show him what he needs to do but he will be doing the work. If he wants to be a true hot rodder he has to get a piece of metal in his skin or better yet his eye. Hot rodders are cut, scratched, have to pull out splinters of metal and be baptized in fire. Either by a grinder, weld splatter or just plain old catching the car or garage on fire. Kenny's time has come. Kenny needs to learn to do his own work and not be afraid to try stuff. People who are afraid to try stuff are the ones that never get anything done. You have to start somewhere.
